INVESTIGATE
Identify the problem to be solved
The student demonstrates excellent foresight when identifying and applying technological research skills. There is a high degree of questioning and critical analysis, and the appropriate use of sources is consistent. Knowledge of the development of community issues and how they are being addressed. There is clear evidence that the student takes the sources into account in his/her investigation. A clear understanding of the potential usefulness of the product for the target audience is evident.
PLAN
The student shows excellent ability to identify and consider a wide range of resources and strategies. The ideas are thoroughly developed and communicated. The work shows an outstanding level of time management and logical planning. The student has evaluated the plan.
CREAT
The student has demonstrated a thorough competence in choice of strategy and implementation. He/she has fully justified any modification to the original design specification, and produced original and outstanding work.
EVALUATE
The student provides a thorough evaluation (self-assessment and assessment of both solution and process) that shows insight and suggests possible further improvement. The evaluation includes excellent analysis of the effectiveness and quality of the solution in relation to the original design specification. The student has made good use of feedback acquired through product testing.
