PLANNING

After doing the Investigation –you have identified what you need to make to solve the problem. You have researched on how to make the product and you have also researched and got more information about the problem. The information you collected helped you to make a design brief which explained what you will make to solve the problem.  You then explained how the solution will look like by giving at least 10 design specifications of the product.
To get a better understand of the product you designed three samples with the same specification but different layout/styles. Out of the three you selected ONE and explained why you choose the design. You redid the selected design with more details like complete information, pictures, borders and colors.
Now you are to Plan how you will create the design
A plan has some key areas who, what, when, with what
You need to know what will be done when by who and who else will be involved and what resources will be used and for how long.

Activity  P1
James wanted to build a block house. He designed to have a house of two rooms each room with two windows and a door. He wanted a solid floor with three levels. He wanted a green tilled roof with white glass windows and doors. He wanted a terrazzo floor with blue walls in the inside and red finish on the outside. He wished to have the house completed before Christmas. In your group design a plan to help James build the house. Remember the Key areas in the plan. You will present the plan to the rest of the class.

Activity P2
You have been asked to make a movie of children rights. The movie must have a quote from UNICEF, pictures of children enjoying children rights, picture of children being affected by the abuse of children rights, a child talking about the right to have their rights, a policeman explaining the law on children right and a group of children singing about their rights. The whole movie should take 3 minutes and all the sections are given equal importance. Individually with the given specification of a movie on children rights develop a plan on how you will make the movie.

Activity P3
To make a graphically visible plan one needs a GNANT chart. Find out on making a GANNT chart from the internet. Some key words to use on the search engine include – “GNANT Chart”, “How to make a Gantt chart”, “making a Gantt chart”. Use the information on Children Rights movie in a Gantt chart.
