You must have experiences some benefits of Spreadsheet Software.

In the hand out provided write down some of the benefits of using spreadsheet software to organize and calculate numeric values.

Refer to  http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebitesize/ict/modelling/0spreadsheetsrev3.shtml

Do not cut and paste. Rephrase the benefits in your own words with reference to your work

Organization

Organization means that the data is organized in an accessible manner.

In your drop box make a folder named MYP CT 2012

Save Your files with the names in the following sequence MYPCT  <Name>  ACTIVITY <Number>  <date of file creation>

e.g. MYPCT Gioko Anthony Activity 4 23122012 (note the spaces in the file name)

This final task is an individual one.  You will be expected write a reflection on the entire process of design cycle. The paper should:

Start with a self-evaluation: how you think you performed in the project?
Reflections on your performance at each stage of the design cycle
Contain reflections about your general performance in the group activities
Contain reflections about your use of the Design Cycle in doing your work
Express your thoughts/feelings during and after you’ve completed the Design Cycle
Discuss possible improvements that could be made to the product or to the process undertaken to arrive at the product

Evaluate Checklist
;I have used the test question identified earlier to test my product
;A different person  has been involved in testing my product
I have summarized the overall success of my product
I have reflected by performance at every stage of the design cycle
I have expressed my thoughts and feelings about the design the project and suggested some future improvements.

Assessment criteria
Level
Descriptor
0
The student does not reach a standard described by any of the descriptors given below.
1–2
The student evaluates the pamphlet or his or her own performance.
The student makes some attempt to test the product/solution.
3–4
The student evaluates the pamphlet and his or her own performance and suggests ways in which these could be improved. The student tests the pamphlet to evaluate it against the design specification.
5–6
The student evaluates the success of the pamphlet based on the results of testing, and the other testers. The student provides an evaluation of his or her own performance at each stage of the design cycle and suggests improvements.

Evaluate stage-Summative

Evaluate is Criterion E of MYP technology. In this stage you are required to do the following:
 -          You are expected to conduct three tests on the product. To do this, you need to make a table which includes; the design specs (they have to be measurable and written as statements), the ‘Score’ section (strongly agree, agree, not sure, disagree, strongly disagree) and the section for comments. The three tests will be conducted by; yourself, a peer and a client. The peer and the client should write the score and the comments by themselves. They should do the evaluation after looking at the product.
This is only part of the evaluate process.
 -          After that, you will evaluate your performance throughout the process:
-investigate stage
-design stage
-plan stage
-create stage
For each of the stages evaluate your performance by responding to the following questions
-How well did you do?
-What did not go well?
-How could you improve the areas that did not go well?
     - Include how your product has an impact on the society
     - And lastly include suggestions on how you can improve your product.

The work is due on Friday 9th of November 2012.  Compiled from class notes by Saumya
